To be honest, I don’t even know what this is. For years I’ve been told that I should write that idea and post it somewhere, so this is my attempt at that. I can’t say anything here will be remotely profound but I told myself I’d write more this year and reflect in the future.
As for who I am, I primarily go by Lee, my middle name. I’m in my thirties, living outside Philly in the suburbs with my wife Megan. I was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey before moving to the US with my parents. My father, an American in the air force, and my mom a Turkish civilian he met while stationed there raised me. While I’m of a mixed background I primarily identify with my Turkish side and have balanced that over the years, something I could endlessly write about. My close friends call me “Abi”, meaning ‘elder brother’ in Turkish which is what I’ll go by in this blog.
For work, I’ve spent the majority of my career as a product manager in various industries such a financial services, venture capital, and healthcare. Product management is a subject I’m incredibly passionate about and want to keep growing my skills in. My hope is that documenting my ideas and validating them over time will help me become a better PM.
That’s really it, as for my ideas, they’ll be about anything. If no one reads them then that’s fine, however if even one person reads something and it marginally improves their outlook on something then that’s a major win to me.
